This countertop unit works great, exceeds our expectations. There's ample cooking space for larger dishes and cooks quietly and quickly. We were concerned it would take up too much counter space but it fits perfectly and the design compliments the rest of our kitchen appliances. If you're looking for the best choice, this is it 100%!

Basic microwave.

The microwave seems fairly basic from the feel of it and the features. Had problems with the door sticking and not opening when pushing button. Fortunately KitchenAid did a nice job of replacing it. The replacement hasn™€™t had any issues.

Good simple microwave

This was a gift from my mum and it has been serving its purpose. The oven part enough to fit a large plate and the size of the microwave fit perfectly within my pantry cabinet. I mostly use the express start thirty or sixty seconds button to reheat items. The food is usually hot enough at those heating times. If not, I press the 30 sec button and it™€™s good enough. The lock feature keeps the microwave locked even when heating is done. To release the hold, you must press the unlock button. The sound level is appropriate enough to alert me that heating was completed and even reminds me about a minute interval until I open it. It™€™s not as if her print proof as it claims as I still have to wipe the prints off. Aesthetically it™€™s beautiful and fit right into my decor. I believe it will last a long tome

Door issues. Terrible

The door doesn't open properly; it gets stuck after opening just a little. It worked great for a week, but the previous one wouldn't open at all. I had to press the open door button for 30 seconds to get it to work. What is happening to the quality? This is terrible!

Very poor quality control of Kitchaid Microwave

Original microwave was missing the microwave inlet cover (found in the packing material after using the microwave for several days). Took 3 more tries to get a unit that was acceptable (but still had a dent on one side). The first 3 microwaves all had misaligned doors, and all 4 had dents on the side. Usage for manual cooking doesn't work as the Use Guide indicates - always requires 2 pushes of the start button vs. 1. Helped a friend with a GE microwave that was half the price and it was in perfect condition and worked as expected. If we weren't constrained by cutout size there is no way we would order another premium priced Kitchenaid applicance. The one positive is that we kept getting more units to evaluate - shipped to our house.

This microwave is reasonably quiet and has the perfect selection features for easy use on a variety of foods place in it. The price was higher than most typical countertop microwaves, but it is made heavier (metal) and with much more durability than the cheap plastic ones
