Assisted Cooking Modes for Boil, Fry and Grill Help you take on high-heat techniques with confidence. Sensor monitoring automatically sets the ideal heat, alerts you when to add ingredients and maintains constant temperature while food cooks. Requires the use of specialty KitchenAid® pans (sold separately).* *Visit potsandpans.com/kitchenaid to purchase required cookware: 8 Qt Stockpot (#71003), 12" Nonstick Open Frying Pan (#71010) and 10.25" Round Nonstick Grill Pan (#71012). Cookware manufactured under license.

Auto Presets for Melt, Simmer, Keep Warm and Boil Automatically set the right heat for different techniques and stages of cooking, taking the guesswork out of choosing settings.

Control Lock Disables cooking mode for easy cleaning when not in use.

Frameless Design Allows flush installation for a seamless look or standard installation to fit an existing cooktop cutout.

Pan Size Detection Recognizes the size and placement of cookware to generate heat directly within the pan. An indicator light and sound will alert you if you turn the cooktop on without a pan on the selected element or if your pan is not compatible with induction cooking.

Power Boost Function Allows you to exceed the maximum heat-level setting for 5 minutes, to help you get to a rapid boil

Requires Induction-Compatible Cookware Such as multi-ply stainless steel, enamelled steel or cast iron. Aluminum and copper cookware will not work unless it has a base made of iron or steel. Look for pans marked "Works with Induction" or test to see if a magnet will stick to the bottom.

Sensor Induction Technology Generates heat directly within cookware, reaching high temperatures quickly and cooling down rapidly for precise control that enables a full range of cooking techniques.

Touch-Activated Controls For assisted cooking modes, auto presets and numerical power settings are simple to use. The seamless design is also easy to clean.

Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Induction is Fantastic

GLLD 9/4/2026

Love the induction speed of heating. This is our first induction stovetop. Sometimes we have trouble adjusting the heat to the proper level - probably a user issue. Glad to have to burner shut off when nothing is contacting it.

Heat is controlled and fast, cleanup a breeze

Rog62 9/4/2026

Cooktop performs great. Heat is easy to control and compares to gas, boils water in nothing flat. Then it cleans up so easy. I had to convince my wife to try this over a gas stovetop and now she would never trade back. Great product, I hope it lasts us for years.

LOVE IT

cat1234 9/2/2026

LOVE it so far! I did find an online video that was really helpful (on the KitchenAid site) that explained how to use it and what the different features are. Much easier than reading a manual. It's really easy to keep clean, and the fact that it heats so fast is great. It's responsiveness to change in settings is great too. It's efficient and precise cooking makes my meal prep a pleasure... and now I am a "consistent" cook!

Great design and efficient

PNWShredder 9/2/2026

Very clean design and works flawlessly. I prefer induction vs gas or electric heat due to fast and even cooking. This is my 2nd induction cooktop and would not go back to gas or electric heat.

Still getting used to it

GoingGreen 9/1/2026

This is my first induction cooktop, so I™€™m still getting the hang of it. I™€™ve always cooked on a traditional gas cooktop and induction works very differently, so there™€™s definitely been a bit of a learning curve with the settings and figuring out the right heat levels. One thing that has been a little confusing is that the magnet/induction element doesn™€™t seem to be directly centered on the cooking area, which takes some getting used to when positioning your cookware.

Great cooktop!

Suzyq86 9/1/2026

The cooktop is very responsive. Amazing how fast it can boil water. No burned on food like regular cooktop. Only complaint is it beeps if you wipe cooktop while it is on or off even when locked. Have had to hit breaker to get it to stop. Otherwise would have given it a five.

This was not my first Induction cooktop. All control buttons are slow to respond. When I clean or wipe over the cooktop controls, it turns off and sometimes locks the control for approximately 1 min. On the good side I like the way it cooks and rapidly heats to maximum hot. I don't have any problem with using all metal pans.

Works great, but bring back paper owner™€™s manual

MMS007 9/1/2026

This cooktop works well. Heats up and cools down quickly And it looks good and is easy to clean. I™€™ve found the preset for cooking rice (the only one I™€™ve tried ) doesn™€™t work very well. It overcooked the rice. I™€™ve just had to play with manual settings to get this right. I™€™d give this 5 stars except it (and the oven I bought at the same time) doesn™€™t come with a paper owner™€™s manual. I hate this is that the wave of the future.

Impressive, water boils in half the time!

NJDK 9/1/2026

We upgraded to an induction cooktop after our 12 year old Viking accidentally shattered (our fault) The speed at which this cooks is amazing! Water boils in half the time and we are so impressed. Buying some new pans is the only negative.

Good control over intensity of heat

SFBruce 9/1/2026

We don't use all the additional controls on the cooktop, but the ones we use satisfy our cooking needs. One problem: It's hard, in some light, to see the control labels. We wish they were illuminated. Also, cleaning the cooktop often results in inadvertently turning on a burner. We like the high speed setting for boiling water, as well as the low settings for long, slow simmering. Overall, very nice.

Seamless look

Kmariecraig13 9/1/2026

I chose an induction cooktop because I hate cleaning the grills and grates of a gas cooktop. The induction heats up quickly and I love it™€™s seamless and clean look in my kitchen. The one thing I™€™m struggling with on this model is the buttons are not always very responsive. Sometimes I am pushing the power on button multiple times before the burner will finally turn on.

Warranty issues

JPKs 3/31/2026

I took delivery and installation in December 2025 with no issues. The cooktop developed a 4 inch hairline crack in March 2026. The KitchenAid repair technician verified the defect and secured a replacement ceramic top. The technician damaged the electronic components during the replacement and the cooktop has been unserviceable now for 14 days. With additional parts being identified as defective yesterday the cooktop will likely be out of service about 4 weeks.

Exceptionally Poor Products & Service

Defective Drawer 1/9/2026

We moved into a new unit in a new development and have this cooktop. Two of the burners did not work. Don™€™t you think the technician would have check the unit to make sure it was fully operational before he left? Then it took 3 weeks for another technician to come and fix it. Do yourselves a favor and don™€™t buy KitchenAid products.

Getting used to Induction cooking

Mafarmer 9/6/2025

I accidently dropped a jar on my old electric cooktop and it cracked. I spent some time deciding if I should replace it with an electric or an induction cooktop. I decided to go with induction. I purchased this cooktop and had it installed about 3 weeks ago. i was asked by the installer to check if the cutout space was appropriate for the cooktop. This was a bit of a challenge since my old cooktop was still in place but with the help of a friend and comparing the old cooktop installation guide with the new cooktop it appeared to be adequate and thankfully the new cooktop fit perfectly. I am still get somewhat used to using induction cooking versus an electric cooktop. The enclosed instructions are not real clear as to what 5,6 7 mean when you turn on the burner. If any liquid is spilled on the cooktop whether you have a burner on or not, a pinging alarm goes off until the spill is wiped off at the area dries off. A good safety feature but not sure I read about that in the manual. Cooking wise, it appears to cook quickly. I have used it for canning and hot water baths and it workes fine. I also have used it for some frying and also cooking stews. I was aware that the cookware needed to be compatible. I checked all my cookware with a magnet. The lock feature is a nice addition as I can clean the stove top with a cleanser without the alarm going off for moisture. I haven't tried all the features yet-like simmer. It may take awhile for me to get used to all of the features but so far I am satisfied with my purchase

I chose an induction cooktop for environmental reasons, but I have to say i really miss cooking on a gas cooktop. Although I like the clean look and ease of cleaning, I am finding fault with this technology. I have tried several times but cannot get a pot to boil on the large center spot. The other burners take long to cook items as well. I have the appropriate cookware so can't figure out the issue.
